Timothy Chambless, PhD
Timothy has been teaching at the University of Utah since 1987, offering courses in Political Science, Communication, History, and through the English Language Institute. He has worked for a mayor, a governor, a senator, and a congressional representative, and served over 20 years on Salt Lake City's Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. With participation in more than 30 political campaigns, Tim brings real-world experience to the study of American government, emphasizing current events and contemporary issues. Since 2007, he has also taught through Osher Lifelong Learning, where he currently leads “Current Issues in American Public Affairs and Politics,” helping students explore public affairs and politics as both a practice in democracy and a tool for addressing societal challenges.
