Senator Kathleen Riebe

Represents Utah's 15th Senate District

Utah State Senator Kathleen Riebe is a dynamic and dedicated public servant with deep roots in education and community advocacy. A longtime teacher and educational technology specialist in the Granite School District, she brings real-world experience into her work in the Utah State Senate, where she has served since 2019 and now represents District 15 while also serving in Democratic leadership as Minority Caucus Manager. Senator Riebe champions strong public education, transparent government, and policies that support families, children, and working Utahns, standing out even as the sole vote against deep cuts to higher education in 2025. She is known for her collaborative spirit, community engagement, and tireless voice for opportunity, equity, and responsible growth across the state.

Jason Stevenson

Senior Director of Public Policy
Planned Parenthood

Jason Stevenson joined the staff at Planned Parenthood of Utah in October 2022 after working at both the ACLU of Utah and the Utah Health Policy Project. Trained as a journalist, Jason served as a staff editor at Backpacker and Outside magazines, and he began his reporting career in Washington, D.C. covering politics on Capitol Hill. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife Jackie, a family doctor, and their three children.

Montsie Garrido

Policy & Advocacy Associate
Planned Parenthood

Montsie’s political journey began in rural Oregon, where she advocated for DACA, climate action, and gun safety as a high school student. Her activism continued as a staffer for state legislative and congressional campaigns, including as field organizer for one of the nation’s most-watched congressional races in 2022. As the daughter of Chilean immigrants and the granddaughter of an activist imprisoned during the Pinochet dictatorship, Montsie grounds her work in her family’s legacy of resilience and justice.
